We now live in a very candidate driven job market. The appropriate supply of qualified talent looking to be bought in the buy talent acquisition process is limited.  A majority of companies are looking at ways to have greater staffing flexibility, a need to bring in hard-to find skillsets in house, and looking at ways to improve cost savings.  What does this mean to your organization and how do you acquire the right talent for your company? Maybe you’re now at a place where you need to consider borrowing talent.

The Talent Acquisition Trends committee has identified a panel of diverse Human Resource Professionals, and Contingent Workforce Providers to discuss the process of borrowing talent. You will hear their stories on how to ensure you have access to an efficient flexible contingent workforce, along with information on when is it appropriate and when isn’t appropriate to borrow talent.

2. Identify key factors in your organization that show it’s time to utilize a contingent workforce. 
3. Consider what’s important to be able to get buy-in from key executive leaders to implement a flexible contingent workforce.
4. Understand how to go about implementing a temporary workforce within your organization.
5. Implement metrics to ensure your borrowing talent process is successful.

Panelists:
Bridget Mentzel -  Director of Human Resources, Mercy Health
Bridget has served the Mercy Health ministry since 2006 in a variety of Human Resources roles, most recently as the Human Resources Director for Mercy Health – West and East Markets.  Bridget’s experience spans both acute care and long-term care settings at Mercy Health.  She a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Khloe Broelmann – Associate Director of Human Resources, Procter & Gamble
Khloe has been at Procter & Gamble for 22 years, the first 10 in sales and the last 12 in Human Resources. While in HR, she has spent time in their North America Sales and Marketing organization, Global Business Services and IT organization, along with Market Research. In her work, she has hired and managed contingent workers, including temporary staff, consultants, and independent contractors. In addition, Khloe has played a stewardship role to ensure her organization has correctly utilize and manage all contingent staff. Khloe has a Master’s degree in Organization Communication from the University of Illinois.

Shelly Sherman, Executive Director -Human Resources Business Partner, University of Cincinnati
Shelly is a Human Resources executive who has driven business solutions in a variety of industries through Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Organizational Effectiveness for over 20 years. These experiences along with her sound business acumen, collaborative style, strategic decision making and courageous leadership have made her a trusted partner and advisor to many senior level executives. In addition to higher education, she has worked in other industries including financial services, consumer packaged goods, and healthcare.  Shelly has a Master of Education degree, with a concentration in Human Resource Development. 

Scott Simpson – President, Precision Staffing
Scott Simpson is the CEO and President of Precision Staffing Services.  Scott attended Xavier University where earned his Finance degree as well as MBA.  After graduation Scott obtained a position in Corporate Finance for a Fortune 1,000 company before taking the opportunity to join the family business, staffing.  After spending a year at Precision Staffing, Inc in Lexington; Scott brought Precision Staffing Services to Cincinnati in 2008.  Precision Staffing currently employs for some of the largest companies in the region.  In 2012 Precision Staffing was nominated for a Blue Ash Small Business of the Year Award. 

David Ayres – Director of Recruiting, Pomeroy
David has worked in Staff Augmentation since 1995, beginning at Adecco and now at Pomeroy IT Solutions.  During that time, he has recruited for Clerical, Light Industrial and Information Technology talent, primarily in the Cincinnati marketplace. Today, he oversees a national recruiting program, providing contingency technical resources to a variety of customers.

Larry Hoelscher – Vice President, TruStaff
Larry is a Talent Acquisition Professional with unique, in-depth knowledge and experience within both the Corporate and Agency Recruiting industry. He has a proven ability to find and evaluate talent and then provides the process where top talent can partner with quality employers.
