GCHRA Mentoring

Sharing Knowledge & Experience
One of the key purposes of the
Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association is
to share knowledge and experience among members.
This purpose takes on an even more important role
for new GCHRA members, especially if the new member
is also new to the HR profession.
The GCHRA Mentoring Program is designed to help
new members get familiar with the membership and
the organization, learn about opportunities to network
and volunteer for GCHRA activities, and help in
determining action steps for personal professional
development.
Mentors’ responsibilities include: meeting
new members before their first GCHRA meeting and
getting to know the protege on a personal level;
making an effort to introduce the new member to
as many other members as possible; staying in contact
with the new member to see if they have any questions
about GCHRA.
Proteges will be expected to keep in touch with
their mentor to ask any questions about GCHRA, and
the HR profession, be open to meeting other members
and considering volunteer opportunities as a way
to grow within the organization.

Get Involved!
A big part of the program’s
success is attributed to the mentors who dedicate
their time to acquaint a new member to GCHRA. As
new members continually join throughout the year
there is a constant need for tenured members to
be mentors. At
this time, we are looking for members of GCHRA who
would like to play an active role in introducing
a new member to the organization and the members.
This does not involve an extensive time commitment.
Also, a GCHRA shirt will be given to each new mentor
at the start of the program.
Please contact Amy Zemberi by email
participate in the program as a mentor or a protégé. |
