The Value of Networking: Building Relationships to Grow Your Career will be an evening event combining social, networking, and learning. The learning component will offer 3 TED-style talks from speakers addressing different aspects of developing the personal and professional relationships that are critical to building a career in Talent Acquisition intermixed with opportunities to interact with the speakers and your peers over adult beverages and finger food.

Sherman Bradley is recent founder of GOODFIT “Where Different Is Good” training and consulting firm tackling the field of Diversity & Inclusion. It is the express responsibility of every organization and person to acknowledge his or her hidden biases to heal what divides unity and our impact on the bottom line. Sherman is a former Board member of Social Venture Partners, a graduate of Leadership Cincinnati, a former Rotarian, the Co-Chair for Mosaix Cincy Network, and a Toastmaster Advanced Communicator. He has presented at TedX Xavier University, spoken at numerous Colleges and Universities. Sherman is a US Air Force Veteran and Co-Pastors New Life Covenant: a multi-ethnic, inter- generational, and multi-class congregation, thriving in the heart of the city. He leads with his wife Sadell, is the father of Whitney, Shaniqua and Robert and the grandfather Jaxon and Robert, Jr.
Bill Neese is the VP Talent Acquisition at Paycor. He has spent the bulk of his career in the Talent Management field and has recent experience working with both publicly and privately-held companies building recruiting, sourcing, interviewing, onboarding and data driven talent programs. He focuses on developing plans and programs that are scalable for the future, and by leveraging technology to build effective and efficient talent pipelines. Prior to Paycor, Bill functioned as the VP of Talent Management for Systems Evolution and the VP of Recruiting for Total Quality Logistics: both tenures were during periods of rapid business growth for both companies. Bill is the 2018 HRO Today Talent Acquisition Leader of the Year. Bill holds a Master’s in HR from the University of Cincinnati. Bill, his wife Lindsey, daughter Hadley and son Brady live in Springboro. He has a range of interests – from local sports to being an outdoorsman.
Julie Pugh is a Partner at Graydon and current president of GCHRA. As a Labor & Employment attorney, she is equal parts educator, counselor, and litigator and seeks to do whatever she can to make her clients’ jobs easier. Sometimes that is providing advice or training employees, other times that is negotiating contracts or advocating in court or before administrative agencies. A former HR associate and self-described HR nerd, Julie is passionate about GCHRA’s mission to energize, educate, and connect about HR and is a strong believer in the importance of belonging to a professional community. Julie is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law and holds certifications as a SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) and as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR). Julie and her husband, Jeff Pugh, are residents of Delhi, where they spend lots of time chasing after their two sons, Austin and Caleb.
