GCHRA's Purpose and Objective
Since its beginning in 1935, the Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association (GCHRA) has developed into a progressive and professional association which attracts Greater Cincinnati’s top Human Resource practitioners into its membership.
Human Resource professionals serve their employers and the business community in many roles, from benefits and employment law expertise to leading innovation and motivation. Ultimately, we are the leaders of any company’s most important resource, human capital.
Because of this complex role, we need as many of our own resources and support as possible. GCHRA’s purpose is to be that resource and channel of support. We strive to continue to advance the Human Resource profession through sharing experience and knowledge.

The Greater Cincinnati Human Resources Association (GCHRA) is the premier leader in providing professional interactive development and community involvement opportunities to HR professionals.
GCHRA is a champion and a catalyst to stretch the boundaries of our profession, providing HR expertise to the business community, and increasing HR’s role and impact in the businesses in which our members serve.
GCHRA empowers its members to grow professionally, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to the success of the organizations and communities in which they work, live, and play.
About the Association
The Board consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and twelve functional committee chairpersons. Two-year terms are served by each elected board member. One member shall be appointed to a 6-year term which will follow the following progression: Vice President (years 1-2), President (years 3-4), and Past President (years 5-6). All association members are invited and encouraged to actively participate on one of the committees.
